¼â½ÐÊÓƵ University Student Summer Housing

For ¼â½ÐÊÓƵ University students taking classes, holding internships, or working in the area, on-campus housing is available from Sunday, May 25 to Saturday, August 9, 2025. A limited amount of temporary housing may be available prior to the start of summer housing in a traditional residence hall. Please note: temporary housing will be on a first come, first served basis.

Students will be housed in a shared apartment or townhouse. Housing is available on a weekly basis (4-week minimum required*) at the following rates:

  • $240 per week in a shared bedroom
  • $340 per week in a private bedroom 

A non-refundable $50-$100 summer housing application fee for all student housing requests is due with your application. Applications will not be considered complete without receipt of payment of the application fee.  If a University department is sponsoring the cost of your summer housing, the Office of Conference & Event Management will be in contact with the responsible department regarding your housing needs.

¼â½ÐÊÓƵ University students can sign up for summer housing via our online Summer Housing Application.

We require all payments to be made online with a credit or debit card through our online payment portal.  After submitting your application you will receive a link for payment from the Office of Conference & Event Management.  We do not accept cash or checks and any payment received other than through the online payment portal will be returned to sender and the account in question will remain unpaid.

*The required 4-week housing minimum will be waived for students taking a summer class during the month of May with proper documentation of class enrollment presented to the Office of Conference & Event Management.

Non-¼â½ÐÊÓƵ University Student Internship Housing

The campus is within one mile of I-95 and the ¼â½ÐÊÓƵ Metro-North station, making it an easy commute to many locations like Norwalk, Stamford, and New Haven.

Summer residents can also take advantage of being just an hour away from New York City via public transportation or take weekend trips to Boston, Newport, and many other celebrated New England cities and towns.

Students are offered private bedrooms in shared apartments that can accommodate 4-8 students.

  • Air-conditioned, furnished accommodations with kitchens
  • 24-hour on-call support and security
  • Morning and evening shuttle service to and from the Metro-North ¼â½ÐÊÓƵ train station
  • Free access to ¼â½ÐÊÓƵ University’s newly renovated state-of-the-art Recreation Complex
  • Campus-wide wireless Internet access
  • Free on-campus parking
  • Free laundry facilities
  • All living rooms come furnished with a couch, coffee table, kitchen table, and chairs.
  • Kitchens are equipped with a full-size refrigerator and oven. Bedrooms each contain a twin extra-long bed, wardrobe, dresser, desk, and chair.

To be eligible for internship housing, students must be either an undergraduate or graduate student at a university who has secured an internship or job for the summer months. Proof of employment and of student enrollment is required to confirm summer housing.

Housing is offered on a weekly basis starting Sunday, May 25, 2025 and ending Saturday, August 9, 2025. To be eligible, a minimum of four consecutive weeks must be reserved.

Housing is offered for $380 per week. This includes all utilities, air-conditioning, Internet access, unlimited laundry, and use of the University Recreation Complex. It also includes morning and evening shuttle service to the Metro-North train station and on-campus parking. A non-refundable $50 - $100 application fee is required for all housing applicants and due upon sign-up. 

Applications for summer intern housing are available via the online Summer Intern Housing Request Form. Note: This form is for non-¼â½ÐÊÓƵ University students only.

University Sponsored Guest or Visiting Family Housing

A limited number of townhouses will be made available for visiting guests or families this summer. The townhouses are two-story units consisting of two bedrooms, a living room, kitchen, dining area, a minimum of 1.5 bathrooms, and plenty of closet/storage space. Townhouses have central air conditioning, and wireless Internet access.

Camp and Conference Housing

During the summer, many of ¼â½ÐÊÓƵ University's residence halls, suites, and apartment complexes are available for overnight camps and conferences. On-campus housing for summer programs is available starting June 16, 2025 through August 9, 2025, and is coordinated through the Office of Conference & Event Management.

Summer Housing FAQs

For ¼â½ÐÊÓƵ Students: To secure summer housing as a ¼â½ÐÊÓƵ University student, begin by completing the ¼â½ÐÊÓƵ University Student Summer Housing application found at ¼â½ÐÊÓƵ.edu/summerhousing and promptly pay the required application fee. Applications will start being reviewed in early March, and upon approval, you will be sent a contract via email. Thoroughly review, print, sign, scan, and upload the completed contract to the link provided to you by the Office of Conference & Event Management. Additionally, make sure to submit your payment in-full at least 7 business days before your scheduled move-in date. Once both the contract and payment are successfully received, you will be provided with detailed move-in instructions.

 

For Non-¼â½ÐÊÓƵ Interns: To secure summer housing at ¼â½ÐÊÓƵ University, begin by completing the Non-¼â½ÐÊÓƵ University Student Internship Housing application found at ¼â½ÐÊÓƵ.edu/summerhousing and promptly pay the required application fee. Applications will start being reviewed in early March, and upon approval, you will be sent a contract via email. Thoroughly review, print, sign, scan, and upload the completed contract to the link provided to you by the Office of Conference & Event Management. Additionally, make sure to submit your housing payment in-full at least 7 business days before your scheduled move-in date. Once both the contract and payment are successfully received, you will be provided with detailed move-in instructions.

For both ¼â½ÐÊÓƵ Student and Non-¼â½ÐÊÓƵ Student Internship Housing: Every applicant is required to submit a non-refundable application fee. The fee is $50 if paid before April 1st and increases to $100 after that date. Please note that this fee is mandatory for all applicants.

Non-¼â½ÐÊÓƵ University Student Interns: to submit your non-refundable application fee. The invoice number for your housing application fee is 50. 

¼â½ÐÊÓƵ University Students: Summer housing for ¼â½ÐÊÓƵ University students is available at two different rates: $240 per week for a shared bedroom and $340 per week for a single bedroom in addition to your $50 - $100 application fee. Please note single bedrooms are subject to availability and filled on a first come, first serve basis.

Non-¼â½ÐÊÓƵ University Student Interns: Summer housing for Non-¼â½ÐÊÓƵ University Student Interns is $380 per week in addition to your $50 - $100 application fee.

For both ¼â½ÐÊÓƵ Student and Non-¼â½ÐÊÓƵ Student Internship Housing: Payment for summer housing must be made online via credit card at least 14 days before your scheduled move in date. Additionally, certain students may have the opportunity to have their summer housing expenses sponsored by the department they are working for. Please use the invoice number provided on the invoice emailed to you for payment. 

¼â½ÐÊÓƵ University Students: Please to make your payment in-full. 

Non-¼â½ÐÊÓƵ University Student Interns:  Please to make your payment in-full. 

 

There is no financial aid for summer housing.  However for ¼â½ÐÊÓƵ University Students, housing sponsorship by a department could be an option if you work with a department during the summer.

For both ¼â½ÐÊÓƵ Student and Non-¼â½ÐÊÓƵ Student Internship Housing: Move-in days for summer housing are scheduled on Sundays between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Early move-ins before Sunday will incur an extra charge of $75 per night and are subject to prior approval.

For both ¼â½ÐÊÓƵ Student and Non-¼â½ÐÊÓƵ Student Internship Housing: Checkout is expected between 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. on Saturdays. Late check outs may incur additional fees.

For both ¼â½ÐÊÓƵ Student and Non-¼â½ÐÊÓƵ Student Internship Housing: There is a 4-week minimum for summer housing.

For both ¼â½ÐÊÓƵ Student and Non-¼â½ÐÊÓƵ Student Internship Housing: Unfortunately, extended stays are not available.

For both ¼â½ÐÊÓƵ Student and Non-¼â½ÐÊÓƵ Student Internship Housing: You can request up to 3 preferred roommates. Efforts will be made to accommodate mutual requests.

For both ¼â½ÐÊÓƵ Student and Non-¼â½ÐÊÓƵ Student Internship Housing: Unfortunately, no. Roommate assignments are disclosed upon move-in due to the fluid nature of summer housing.

For both ¼â½ÐÊÓƵ Student and Non-¼â½ÐÊÓƵ Student Internship Housing: No, your assignment will be provided upon arrival.

No, ¼â½ÐÊÓƵ University students cannot move into their fall assignment. 

For both ¼â½ÐÊÓƵ Student and Non-¼â½ÐÊÓƵ Student Internship Housing: Each bedroom includes a bed, desk, desk chair, wardrobe or closet, and dresser.  The shared living room and kitchen includes a couch and loveseat or chair, a kitchen table with chairs, a stove, and refrigerator. Students must bring their own kitchen items and linens.

For both ¼â½ÐÊÓƵ Student and Non-¼â½ÐÊÓƵ Student Internship Housing: The mattress size of each bed is Twin XL.

For both ¼â½ÐÊÓƵ Student and Non-¼â½ÐÊÓƵ Student Internship Housing: Yes, every apartment/townhouse is equipped with a shared kitchen.

For both ¼â½ÐÊÓƵ Student and Non-¼â½ÐÊÓƵ Student Internship Housing: No, The Tully Dining Hall is only open for summer camp, but the Stag snack bar is open with limited hours.

For both ¼â½ÐÊÓƵ Student and Non-¼â½ÐÊÓƵ Student Internship Housing: Yes, you will have access to shared laundry facilities either in or near your assigned summer housing.  All summer guests are given an allotment of wash/dry cycles during their stay and can add additional laundry dollars if needed.

For both ¼â½ÐÊÓƵ Student and Non-¼â½ÐÊÓƵ Student Internship Housing: The town shuttle does not operate in the summer. However, there is a weekday morning and evening commuter shuttle to the ¼â½ÐÊÓƵ Metro North train station as a courtesy to our summer guests. To secure a spot, advance reservation is required.  Contact the Office to Conference & Event Management for more details.

For both ¼â½ÐÊÓƵ Student and Non-¼â½ÐÊÓƵ Student Internship Housing: Yes. You will be given information about how to register summer guests with your move in details.  Guests are restricted to a maximum stay of three (3) days on campus, and the summer University resident is accountable for the guest's conduct as specified in their housing agreement.

For both ¼â½ÐÊÓƵ Student and Non-¼â½ÐÊÓƵ Student Internship Housing: Yes. You will be given information to register your vehicle with ¼â½ÐÊÓƵ University’s Department of Public Safety before your move in date.
