6 Things to Do During ¼â½ÐÊÓƵ in Focus

We invite you to ¼â½ÐÊÓƵ in Focus, our annual event for admitted students, to celebrate your acceptance and learn more about the ¼â½ÐÊÓƵ experience. Whether it’s your first time visiting campus or your third, you’re sure to discover something new.

1.  Meet New People (and Stay Connected!)

¼â½ÐÊÓƵ in Focus is a day for all admitted students to come and see what life at ¼â½ÐÊÓƵ has to offer. Branch out, be courageous, and introduce yourself to the person sitting next to you! You never know who you'll meet. Exchance phone numbers or connect on social media so you can keep in touch ahead of Orientation.

2.  There's a Current Student Panel

The panel gives an opportunity for admitted students to hear from current Stags about their ¼â½ÐÊÓƵ University experience. You’ll also have an opportunity to ask questions about coursework, clubs and organizations, and more.

3.  Take a Photo at the Photobooth

Its your First ¼â½ÐÊÓƵ photo-op! Take some photos with your family or guests to capture the moment. There will be fun props and Lucas the Stag may even be around.

4.  You Can Connect with Faculty and Staff

When you come to campus for regular prospective student tours and information sessions, they are typically held during the week or on weekends when ¼â½ÐÊÓƵ University professors aren’t available. At ¼â½ÐÊÓƵ in Focus, this isn’t the case! In fact, engaging with faculty is part of the program so you can learn a bit more about their approach to your desired fields of study.

5.  Stop in the Stags Spirit Shop

You can't leave campus without a quick stop in the Stags Spirit Shop for your first piece of ¼â½ÐÊÓƵ gear. From water bottles, to tote bags, to t-shirts and sweatshirts—the shop has you covered for the next four years and beyond.

6.  Swing Through the Tully Dining Commons

Take a walk through the Barone Campus Center and make your way up to the Tully Dining Commons. Here's your chance to check out the variety of options available daily for students including salads, sandwiches, desserts, and so much more that fit your dietary needs and preferences.
