Bridgeport Engineering Institute Alumni Welcomed Back to Campus

Engineering faculty and alumni celebrated the rich history of the School of Engineering.

Earlier this semester, the School of Engineering welcomed back more than 20 Bridgeport Engineering Institute (BEI) alumni for a brunch celebrating the rich history of the School of Engineering. Kicking off the event was keynote speaker Harvey Hoffman, EdD, associate dean of the School of Engineering and long-time BEI professor. He and fellow faculty members spent time reminiscing with alumni about their time at BEI.

Dan Dlugos, adjunct professor and former BEI Chair of the Council of Fellows, shared memories of the collaborative education and the many ways in which BEI served Connecticut's industries. In addition to remarks by Dlugos, ¼â½ÐÊÓƵ University seniors Chloe Stokinger `22 and Jenna Madigan `22 spoke about their current School of Engineering curriculum, their career aspirations, and their gratitude for being selected to receive BEI scholarships.

During the brunch, guests enjoyed BEI trivia, networking, and connecting with longtime friends. The School of Engineering will host the next Bridgeport Engineering Institute event on April 23, 2021 — please mark your calendar and plan to attend!
