Egan School Ranked Top 5 in New England Region by Nursing Schools Almanac

The ranking collected data on more than 3,000 nursing schools and campuses throughout the United States, and evaluated nursing schools on academic prestige and value, breadth and depth of programs, and student success.

¼â½ÐÊÓƵ University’s Marion Peckham Egan School of Nursing and Health Studies has been ranked in the top five nursing schools in the New England Region by Nursing Schools Almanac’s 2019 ranking of the . Ranked at No. 5 by the online nursing student resource, ¼â½ÐÊÓƵ is joined by the likes of Yale University (No. 1), Boston College (No. 2), University of Connecticut (No. 3), and University of Massachusetts Medical School (No. 4) in the Nursing Schools Almanac’s 2019 review.

This acknowledgement speaks to the tremendous and tireless commitment of our faculty, staff, and students toward meeting our nation’s healthcare goals and improving care for patients and families worldwide," said Meredith Wallace Kazer PhD, APRN, FAAN, dean of the Egan School of Nursing and Health Studies.

Each nursing school in the region was ranked on three dimensions: the institution's academic prestige and perceived value; the breadth and depth of nursing programs offered; and student success, particularly on the NCLEX licensure examination, These rankings were then combined into an overall score, producing the comprehensive regional ranking. 

¼â½ÐÊÓƵ’s Egan School of Nursing and Health Studies was also recently named Best Colleges for Nursing (No. 1) by Niche, and was ranked in the top 5 percent of all nursing programs in the U.S. by College Factual’s 2019 Best Nursing Colleges report.
