Message From the Dean

Dean Bob Hannafin

Dear Friends of GSEAP,

I’m happy to share exciting and productive times in the School. We’ve launched two new programs this fall. The new master of social work (MSW) program admitted its first class and our new track in Special Education also kicked off. I am pleased to report that both programs are thriving and attracting high quality students.

Please enjoy reading this fall installment of the e-newsletter. I expect you will be amazed, as I am, at the accomplishments and dedication of our faculty and students. I am proud to be associated with them.

On a personal note, this -- my sixth -- year will be my last as dean. It has been an enormous gift to work alongside my colleagues in this unique leadership capacity, and I will miss that. But I look forward to teaching and working with students again. It has been a great, great experience for which I am very grateful.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all!

Bob Hannafin
Dean of the Graduate School of Education and Allied Professions
