The 2019 Expo will again be held at the University’s RecPlex, and will feature class demos, lectures, and more.
¼â½ÐÊÓƵ University has again partnered with the Town of ¼â½ÐÊÓƵ and the ¼â½ÐÊÓƵ Chamber of Commerce to host the 2019 Health and Fitness Expo on Saturday, March 16 from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. at the Leslie C. Quick Recreation Complex.
The event, now in its fifth year, brings together informational lectures, demonstrations, and a wide variety of exhibitors dedicated to health, fitness, wellness, and medicine. The Expo is free and open to the public.
“The health of the whole person – Mind, Body, Spirit – is one of the cornerstones of the Jesuit values and ¼â½ÐÊÓƵ University,” said John Paladino, ¼â½ÐÊÓƵ’s Director of Recreation. “We are excited to partner with the Town of ¼â½ÐÊÓƵ and the Chamber of Commerce for the second year in a row, to share those values with the greater ¼â½ÐÊÓƵ community.”
Fitness class demonstrations by several local studios will be provided in the RecPlex's state-of-the-art fitness rooms, plus several health-related lectures will take place over the course of the day. Additionally, there will be a kid’s fun-run and face painting, a prescription drug take-back program with the ¼â½ÐÊÓƵ Police Department and the ¼â½ÐÊÓƵ Cares Community Coalition, CPR and AED training, health screenings, and much more.
