“Our team is incredibly excited about having the opportunity to go to Nationals this year in Columbus, Ohio,” stated team officer Patrick Lawler ’18. “We understand that being able to have the opportunity to play on this National stage doesn't come often, so we very proud to have made it this far.”

At this year’s competition, more than 75 teams and 1,600 players will compete in more than 100 games. This is the fourth consecutive year ¼â½ÐÊÓƵ has qualified for Nationals.

The team is being led by Head Coach Michael Silva and team officers Patrick Lawler ’18, Dan Giberna ’18, Scott Kohlhepp ’18, and Breandan Joyce ’18. The team feels confident heading into the Championships after earning number two seed in the Atlantic regions. Being number two will give the team a good opportunity to advance out of pool play into the semi finals. “It is always going to be tough to beat some of the bigger schools from big hockey areas like Michigan State, but if there is any team that can do it it's this one,” states Lawler. “We have a very high-skilled team with a lot of heart and passion, so if we bring our game to the tournament we can do some real damage this year.”

Lawler credits the team’s leadership for its continued success. “We were fortunate enough to come in as freshman under an incredible senior class who set a clear tone for what ¼â½ÐÊÓƵ Hockey was all about. Without the incredible leadership of that class we wouldn't be as successful as we have been these last four years.”
