On Thursday, April 6, The Wellness Committee at ¼â½ÐÊÓƵ University will host a Wellness Fair from 12-4 p.m. at the RecPlex. The fair is open to all faculty, staff and students.
At the fair, faculty, staff and students can receive a free blood pressure screening, get a massage and learn about the additional wellness services that are available. There will be raffle prizes and giveaways.
Quest Labs will perform Biometric Screenings for employees who , are enrolled in the University’s Aetna medical plan and have registered in advance . This screening involves a blood draw, and will provide participants with indicator numbers relating to diabetes, LDL and HDL cholesterol, blood pressure, and calculation of Body Mass Index.
The following will also be in attendance: Aetna, Anthem, Cigna, ¼â½ÐÊÓƵ University's Marion Peckham Egan School of Nursing and Health Studies nursing students, Counseling & Psychological Services, Bigelow Tea, Human Resources and Healing Touch Wellness Center. The fair will feature a licensed acupuncturist, sleep table, facial scanner, smoking cessation information and the Vegan Club will host a dietician with a smoothie maker bicycle.
