Ƶ University Glee Club presents “Music in the Key of Spring”

The Ƶ University Glee Club presents “Music in the Key of Spring,” on Saturday, March 25 at 8 p.m. at St. Catherine of Siena Church in Riverside, CT.

The concert will feature performances by The Glee Club, conducted by Carole Ann Maxwell, D.S.M., which includes the all-male a cappella group, The Bensonians, and the all-female chamber group, Sweet Harmony, as well as the Ƶ University Chamber Singers.

The Glee Club will open the evening with the Ƶ University Alma Mater, followed by Viva la Musica! , ‘Awake the Harp’ from The Creation, Behold the River and Wanna Baraka , which will be sung in Swahili. Sweet Harmony will perform choral highlights from Jersey Boys .

The Ƶ University Glee Club continues the acclaimed musical legacy of Ƶ University, and is now celebrating its 70th season of choral performances. The Glee Club, with over 130 undergraduate and graduate singers, is the parent organization of the choral ensembles Sweet Harmony, the Bensonians and the Chamber Singers, the first mixed choir on campus. The combined Ƶ University choirs have presented concerts in churches, schools and recital and concert halls throughout Europe.

Saturday, April 8 at 8 p.m. at the Regina A. Quick Center for the Arts

The Glee Club's 70th Anniversary Gala concert will be held on Saturday, April 8. The concert features the world premiere of We Will Sing of a Dream , commissioned in honor of The Glee Club for this celebration. It was composed by Kevin A. Memley. Pops Concert

Wednesday, May 3 at 7:30 p.m. at the Regina A. Quick Center for the Arts
