Connecting Students and Alumni for Career Exploration and Networking.
I loved letting the nursing students shadow me this year. I am so passionate about both nursing and ¼â½ÐÊÓƵ and felt really proud to have them come.

Since 2011, ¼â½ÐÊÓƵ University’s Alumni Job Shadow program has paired students with alumni professionals across the country for a day of career exploration during winter break.
The Job Shadow experience allows students to observe firsthand a typical day on the job as they accompany ¼â½ÐÊÓƵ alumni through their workday. It gives students a chance to learn more about specific professions, receive helpful career advice, and begin planning for life after ¼â½ÐÊÓƵ.
Alumni and student participation increases each year. Last year, ¼â½ÐÊÓƵ matched 242 students and 171 alumni in organizations across various industries. Students spent the day at at companies like the Barclays Center, WebMD, Medtronic, LinkedIn, Heineken, Michael Kors, American Express, NYU, and many more.
Alumni can be a powerful influence on the future of today’s Stags by volunteering as Job Shadow mentors. “I loved letting the nursing students shadow me this year. I am so passionate about both nursing and ¼â½ÐÊÓƵ and felt really proud to have them come,” said Meghan Ward ’05, a nurse practitioner at NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases, who hosted three ¼â½ÐÊÓƵ students last year.
