The Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius of Loyola Info Sessions, Jan. 23

On Monday, January 23, the Center for Ignatian Spirituality will hold two information sessions for the Ignatian Encounter, The Spiritual Exercises. The information sessions will take place at 12:30 p.m. and 4:45 p.m. in Dolan House, Room 107.

The Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius of Loyola are for those who seek greater inner freedom, deeper inner healing, a spirit of discernment, a thirst for justice and peace and a clearer sense of God's presence and activity in one's life.

The Center offers spiritual direction in the Ignatian tradition to guide individuals in their journey toward this encounter by 'finding God in all things.'

‌The 10-week directed Ignatian prayer experience for students, faculty and staff involves:

  • An immediate experience of God
  • Being a contemplative in action
  • Finding God in all things
  • The meaning of the Magis
  • An experience of discernment

The experience includes 30 to 60 minutes of daily prayer and reflection and 45 minutes each week to meet with a spiritual director/companion.

If you have any additional questions and/or would like to participate, please contact Colleen Gilbertson at cgilbertson@fairfield.edu or 203-254-4000, ext. 3468 or visit fairfield.edu/cis .
