Children Take the Stage This Summer at the Quick

On the heels of the end of the spring season the Quick Center for the Arts is busy planning fun activities for children to engage in this summer. If you’re interested in giving your kids a unique summer experience consider enrolling your children in one of the Quick Center’s summer camps. The Quick is pleased to offer two unique camp experiences to choose from: Missoula Children’s Theatre program and Summer Camp Intensives.

“The Quick Center is always thrilled to have young people filling our building in the summer,” said assistant director, Chris Kaplan. “From Missoula Theatre Camp to the Camp Intensives, we are excited to provide these young individuals the opportunity to work directly with local, professional artists to have a wonderful summertime arts experience.”

One parent raved about last year’s Hip Hop Summer Camp Intensive: “It was a magnificent experience for [my son]. He had the opportunity to share with a fantastic group of people and discover how much he was interested in hip hop dance.”

This is the 27 th season of Missoula Children’s Theatre at the Quick Center, offering six sessions with a performance on Friday evening for each session. 60 children, grades 1-12, may register for each weekly session. There are a variety of speaking and ensemble roles offered during each session and no previous acting experience is required. Weekly sessions begin July 11 and run through August 19 and include favorites such as The Jungle Book and Alice in Wonderland. For more information and to register visit the Quick Center or call the box office at 203-254-4010 or toll free at 1-877-ARTS-396.

Weekly Summer Camp Intensives will run from July 11 through August 11 and include five intensive camps in costume design, culturally inspired painting, hip hop dance, street art and musical theatre. For more information on each session visit the Quick Center or call the box office.
