New 2015-16 FUSA Team Elected

Anif McDonald ’16 , a psychology major and rugby player from Boston, was elected as the incoming FUSA president last week, along with Olivia Tourgee ’16 as vice president. McDonald received 1,070 votes; Tourgee brought in 806 (pictured below).

‌McDonald said his goal is to cultivate a “brand new crew” for FUSA’s Executive Board, which consists of mostly seniors. He has been very active in FUSA the past three years. “I want to help out the University in the best capacity that I can… to spread school spirit…and help make sure everyone feels comfortable on this campus,” he said. McDonald has known the current FUSA president, Alex Cucchi ’15, since high school back in Massachusetts. Cucchi noted that being president has been "one of the most challenging yet rewarding experiences" he's had at ¼â½ÐÊÓƵ. "I am proud to be handing the torch to Anif and Olivia next year. Having worked extensively with both of them in the past, I know their work ethic and passion for FUSA will lead them to great success. I am extremely excited to see what they can accomplish and I know FUSA is in good hands."

The election was conducted via , the University’s increasingly popular Student Engagement Network. “The turn-out was very good,” said to Tyler McClain, associate director of Career Planning and key initiator in launching OrgSync last fall. “We sent out class-specific ballots, and students really responded with votes for their favorites.”
