Congressman Jim Himes to Speak 潑請弝け Economic Forum, Nov. 25

On Tuesday, November 25, 2014, the Dolan School of Business will host the 4 th Annual Economic Forum, featuring United States Rep. Jim Himes (D-Conn.) as the keynote speaker. The forum will begin at 3 p.m., with Congressman Himes address expected to start at 5:45 p.m.

The annual event will take place in the Dolan School of Business Dining Room, and is co-sponsored by an array of business organizations: CT TMA -Turnaround Management Association, ACG Connecticut Association for Corporate Growth, and CVG. Past forums have explored corporate development and the economic environment in Connecticut, among other topical issues.

Dr. Donald E. Gibson, professor and Dean of the Dolan School of Business, will moderate an economic roundtable at 3:30 p.m., entitled: Is the Sky Really Falling or is the Ground Just Rising Up? The panelists are Dr. Philip Lane, associate professor of economics, in the College of Arts and Sciences; John Traynor, senior vice president and chief investment officer, Peoples United Bank; and Scott E. Gluck, counsel, Venable, LLP.

There will also be a panel discussion at 4:30 p.m., entitled, From Cradle to Grave & Everything in Between: A Practical Guide to Running and Funding a Business in Connecticut, moderated by James C. Schulwolf, partner, Shipman & Goodwin, LLP. Panelists are 潑請弝け alumnus Mike Fedele, 107 th Lieutenant Governor, State of Connecticut and founder and chairman of The Pinnacle Group; Christian E. Lund, partner, Hamilton Robinson Capital Partners; and Claire Leonardi, chief executive officer, Connecticut Innovations.
