Check Out the New University Website

After an exciting year of hard work on the part of many people on campus and off, the University is pleased to announce the public debut of the new ¼â½ÐÊÓƵ University website at .

Back in January 2013, when ¼â½ÐÊÓƵ embarked on this endeavor to refresh and revitalize the University's website, the goals were to ‌develop a new website that would:

* Capture the vibrancy of the ¼â½ÐÊÓƵ University student experience

* Reflect the university's commitment to our students' intellectual and personal development

* Showcase ¼â½ÐÊÓƵ's strong sense of community

The Marketing and Communications Division, along with many collaborators from around campus, worked with a leading marketing and branding agency, 160/90, and with ¼â½ÐÊÓƵ’s website's content management vendor, Terminal Four, to meet these goals.

Visitors to the site will notice right away that the web's homepage has a new look. It is clean and uncluttered with navigation that is more user-friendly than ever. The entire site has also been developed to adapt to any user's device. So as people access the site from a tablet or smartphone, the functionality and design retain the high quality seen on a desktop.

In the weeks ahead, the site will continually incorporate more and more new campus photography and interactive videos into the new design. There you will find helpful information including the web design overview, future web strategy, and where to provide your feedback since your input is important! The work on our new website doesn’t end with its launch but rather serves as a new beginning.

Cathy O’Donnell, director Marketing for Admission, Academics & Advertising, explained, “The website reflects and shares the ¼â½ÐÊÓƵ University experience with visitors 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The website is one of the most important marketing tools we have and with over 2.5 million visits to our site every year, this new design will have a lot of eyes on it. We hope to make the interaction as welcoming as possible.”

Like the University, the website is constantly evolving and will be updated and adjusted on a daily basis. Having this new website will allow ¼â½ÐÊÓƵ to communicate with all of its audiences, from prospective students to alumni to arts patrons, in a manner that showcases the University for the great place it is.

The Web Design Working Group would like to recognize the efforts of Laura Johnson, University Webmaster, who has led the project over the past several months, along with assistance from staff in Web Communications and Marketing Account Managers.

Members of the Web Redesign Working Group include Cathy Donahue, Laura Johnson, Cathy O’Donnell, Katie Magee, Karen Pellegrino, Kristen Smith, Marianne Gumpper and Paige Francis.
