¼â½ÐÊÓƵ's Alumni Spirit Alive and Well in Lone Star State

The spirit of ¼â½ÐÊÓƵ University is alive and well in the Lone Star State! On Tuesday, April 1, 2014, Tina ’78 and Dan Weinfurther hosted a reception for 30 alumni, parents and friends from the greater Dallas/Fort Worth area in their Dallas, Texas, home. Those in attendance included ¼â½ÐÊÓƵ University President, the Rev. Jeffrey von Arx, S.J., and Michael Earsing, President of Jesuit College Preparatory School of Dallas. (Pictured, left-right, Michael Earsing, Tina and Dan Weinfurther, and Father von Arx).

Father von Arx took the opportunity to share an update on many elements of his vision for ¼â½ÐÊÓƵ University and the objectives of ¼â½ÐÊÓƵ 2020, and he responded to questions. Many alums and parents commented how wonderful it was to connect with one another and to visit with Father von Arx. Of the 29 seniors from high schools in Texas who have applied for admission to ¼â½ÐÊÓƵ’s Class of 2018, two are from Jesuit Prepartory.

¼â½ÐÊÓƵ University has 146 alumni living in Dallas/Fort Worth. Tina and Dan moved to Dallas last year from California. Tina is Vice President, Leadership Development and Support at Big Brothers Big Sisters of America’s national office in Irving, TX. The Office of Alumni Relations would like to extend warmest gratitude to the Weinfurthers for opening up their beautiful home to host such an exquisite evening for the ¼â½ÐÊÓƵ community of Dallas/Fort Worth.
