A New Role for Alumni Career Services Director

Recognizing the value of having all career planning services under one roof, Julie Tuozzoli ’85, former director of Alumni Career Services, has a new role in the University’s Career Planning Center as manager of employer relations and alumni career development.

In her new role, Julie will be performing two key functions—supporting our alumni, and cultivating the University’s relationships with employers. She will work closely with hiring managers and HR representatives to better understand how ¼â½ÐÊÓƵ students are able to fulfill their needs and what the University can do to better prepare students for the marketplace, as well as graduate school and volunteer opportunities after graduation.

She will also be surveying these two key constituents to understand how ¼â½ÐÊÓƵ graduates progress in the years after graduation, and how employers and graduate schools evaluate such progress.

“I am thrilled to have Julie join the team in the Career Planning Center,” said Tom Pellegrino, vice president for student affairs. “¼â½ÐÊÓƵ University students excel in the workplace, but it is important that we do not take that success for granted. Julie’s rich experiences in the corporate world, combined with her successes with our alumni mentor programs, are a natural fit for these endeavors.”

In the area of alumni career development, Julie will continue to work directly with alumni to support their career development needs through the well-received Alumni Career Webinar Series, development of online resources, and coordination of career events. She will also continue to recruit alumni for the increasingly popular Winter Break Job Shadow Program.

“I am pleased to join the energetic and knowledgeable staff of the Career Planning Center,” Julie said. “This move helps to combine efforts to effectively serve our student and alumni populations. I am excited to further my connections with alumni and to grow our connections with the employers our students want to work for.”

Don’t hesitate to contact Julie directly with career questions or suggestions.
