Janet Canepa '82 to Receive Distinguished Faculty/Administrator Award, April 3

Continuing the tradition of recognizing professional excellence at ¼â½ÐÊÓƵ University, this year’s ¼â½ÐÊÓƵ Awards Dinner will honor Janet Canepa '82 for her exemplary achievements in alumni relations on April 3 at Cipriani 42nd Street.

¼â½ÐÊÓƵ University will honor Assistant Vice President for Alumni Relations Janet Canepa ’82 with the Distinguished Faculty/Administrator Award during this year’s ¼â½ÐÊÓƵ Awards Dinner on Wednesday, April 3 at Cipriani 42nd Street in New York City.

A marketing major at ¼â½ÐÊÓƵ, Canepa worked as a program manager at IBM for more than 12 years before returning to her alma mater to lead Alumni Relations efforts. As an undergraduate, she served as a resident advisor, an Admission tour guide, played club sports, and was awarded the prestigious Loyola Medal for engagement and service. After graduation, she joined the Alumni Association board, serving as her class reunion co-chair. In 1992, she became the first female president of the ¼â½ÐÊÓƵ University Alumni Association.

Canepa remains committed to fostering deep relationships with generations of ¼â½ÐÊÓƵ alumni in her role as assistant vice president of Alumni Relations. She notes that the University has grown and changed over the years, but “the bond that Stags share and their loyalty to ¼â½ÐÊÓƵ has not changed.” Read more about Canepa’s commitment to ¼â½ÐÊÓƵ University.

Since 1988, the annual ¼â½ÐÊÓƵ Awards Dinner has raised more than $21 million for the Alumni Multicultural Scholarship Fund and other scholarships while celebrating the achievements and volunteer service of distinguished members of the ¼â½ÐÊÓƵ community.
