What You'll Learn and Do

Master German language skills

Students in ¼â½ÐÊÓƵ’s German program will learn to express themselves thoughtfully in writing and verbally. Through classroom instruction, students will be able to effectively communicate with native speakers.

Take advantage of international opportunities

German majors are encouraged to study abroad with ¼â½ÐÊÓƵ's program in Berlin, Germany, or Salzburg, Austria during their junior year or in the summer.

Benefit from a wide range of courses

Required courses for German students aim to enhance both language comprehension and understanding of culture. Some course topics include Kant, Bach and Beethoven, The Third Reich, and the literature of the Holocaust.

Display your understanding in a capstone seminar

To complete a major in German, students will take a capstone seminar in English that allows them to integrate their learning and demonstrate their proficiency.
